Job Description
This research associate job at Bio-Techne focuses on supporting Luminex Operations, which manufactures made-to-order multiplexing assays used in disease research, drug discovery, and clinical studies. As an Advanced Research Associate, you will ensure efficient manufacturing processes, high-quality output, and timely product delivery. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent with 2–5 years of lab experience
OR - Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience
Skills and Requirements
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, and computers
- Ability to handle repetitive and complex tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate microparticle and biotin cocktails for Luminex multiplex assays following established SOPs
- Perform qualification of assay components, including microparticles and biotin stocks
- Troubleshoot non-conforming Luminex assays with increasing complexity
- Draft change plans and non-conformance reports
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with new equipment onboarding
- Manage data in batch records, spreadsheets, and databases
- Assist in SOP and document revisions
- Follow company safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
