Key Responsibilities for Research Technician Role:

  • Assist scientists in laboratory experiments and clinical tasks
  • Set up, adjust, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Prepare and organize laboratory supplies; order materials and coordinate with vendors
  • Conduct biological, microbiological, or biochemical tests, and analyze experimental data
  • Collect, isolate, and examine specimens such as blood, drugs, or animal samples
  • Record results, maintain laboratory notebooks, and contribute to reports and publications
  • Participate in grant applications, manuscript preparation, and presentations
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety protocols
  • Utilize computers, robotics, and advanced laboratory instruments
  • Support laboratory budgeting and operational planning
