Job Summary

The Department of Neurosurgery seeks a 1-year, term-limited Research Laboratory Technician Associate to support a collaborative research team focused on skull base, neuro-oncology, spine, and clinical outcomes research.

Responsibilities Of Research Jobs in USA

  • Conduct retrospective data collection for skull base, neuro-oncology, and spine projects.
  • Collect data for multicenter research consortium studies.
  • Perform data analysis and assist in drafting manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
  • Collaborate with neurosurgery faculty on shared research projects (with PI approval).
  • Obtain patient consent and manage data for clinical research studies.
  • Draft, prepare, and submit grant applications.
  • Coordinate weekly research tasks for the Virtual Skull Base Outcomes Lab.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the PI to review research progress.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in biomedical science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of prior research experience.
  • Proficiency with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, STATA, GraphPad).
  • Strong interest in biomedical, clinical outcomes, and translational research.
  • Completion of vaccination, clinical research, and HIPAA requirements for patient-facing work.
  • Excellent communication and scientific writing skills; strong team collaboration mindset.

  • Enrollment in or completion of an MD program (preferred).
