Educational Requirements:

  • B.S. and/or M.S. in Biology or a closely related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new gene therapy programs in collaboration with team members in this Scientist Job at Lilly Careers
  • Perform aseptic cell culture experiments (in vitro and in vivo)
  • Establish and characterize novel assays for gene therapy endpoint analysis
  • Deliver high-quality data to project teams within expected timelines

  • Work cross-functionally across platform technologies and disease areas

Skills Required:

  • Significant aseptic cell culture experience (including gene therapy such as AAV or LNP)

  • Proficiency in DNA/RNA purification and analysis (qPCR, ddPCR, RT-qPCR, NGS)
  • Protein analysis experience (Simple Western Jess, ELISA, MSD, Octet)
  • Flow cytometry expertise
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Primer design and sequencing preparation/analysis
  • Experience in gene therapy, HIV, or human HSC-derived cell culture
  • Experience with automation workflows (e.g., liquid handling systems)
