Educational Requirements:
- B.S. and/or M.S. in Biology or a closely related field
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new gene therapy programs in collaboration with team members in this Scientist Job at Lilly Careers
- Perform aseptic cell culture experiments (in vitro and in vivo)
- Establish and characterize novel assays for gene therapy endpoint analysis
- Deliver high-quality data to project teams within expected timelines

- Work cross-functionally across platform technologies and disease areas
Skills Required:
- Significant aseptic cell culture experience (including gene therapy such as AAV or LNP)
- Experience isolating nucleic acids and proteins from cells and tissues
- Proficiency in DNA/RNA purification and analysis (qPCR, ddPCR, RT-qPCR, NGS)
- Protein analysis experience (Simple Western Jess, ELISA, MSD, Octet)
- Flow cytometry expertise
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Primer design and sequencing preparation/analysis
- Experience in gene therapy, HIV, or human HSC-derived cell culture
- Experience with automation workflows (e.g., liquid handling systems)
