Educational Requirements:
- Collegial Diploma in Science, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Relevant laboratory or histology training is preferred
Key Responsibilities of Histology Technician Role:
- Perform histology activities including dissection, decalcification, processing, embedding, cutting, and staining
- Conduct quality control, immunohistochemistry, histomorphometry, and slide scanning
- Prepare laboratory materials and chemical reagents
- Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment
- Support the integrity of preclinical research studies
Skills Required for Histology Technician Role:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 20 kg, standing, walking)
- Understanding of written English
- Bilingual skills in French and English are an advantage
