Internship Overview
This internship is within the Pharmacovigilance team of Boehringer Ingelheim. The intern will support the team’s activities aimed at ensuring that all adverse event reports notified to the company, including those from abroad, are analyzed, classified, validated, and submitted to the Competent National Authorities and Corporate. These activities are carried out in compliance with pharmacovigilance regulations in force, Corporate SOPs, and company procedures. The intern will also contribute to maintaining continuity of these activities during company closure periods.
Tasks and Learning Opportunities
During the internship, the intern will:
- Support the collection of safety data from any source and distribute it to Global Data Entry after management in the local pharmacovigilance system of the Global Safety Platform.
- Assist with the analysis and classification of adverse event reports by assessing information notified to the company for consistency and completeness, and arrange follow-up activities when necessary.
- Participate in activities related to the screening of local literature.
- Support the Pharmacovigilance team in the design and implementation of pharmacovigilance awareness activities.
- Assist the team with daily pharmacovigilance tasks (e.g., support in managing documentation).
Requirements
- Life-science University Degree.
- Languages: Native level of Italian and fluent English (C1).
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Skills in planning, organization, teamwork, communication, and customer orientation.
- Ability to innovate, analyze complex data, and prioritize tasks.
