Department Overview

This role sits within the Research and Early Development chapter of Roche Diagnostics. The team focuses on discovering and developing innovative molecular diagnostic solutions, particularly point-of-care molecular technologies, that make a real impact on patient care.

You will collaborate with cross-functional scientists and engineers from diverse technical backgrounds while gaining hands-on laboratory experience in early diagnostic development.

Biochemistry Internship Overview

As a Molecular Labs Research & Early Development Intern, you will contribute to exploratory research and development of next-generation molecular diagnostics. This role provides exposure to analytical development, assay integration, and scientific communication within an industry research setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploratory research on next-generation molecular diagnostic technologies
  • Develop analytical characterization methods for proteins and nucleic acids
  • Support integration of novel molecular diagnostic applications
  • Perform data analysis and generate technical reports
  • Deliver verbal presentations and scientific posters to project stakeholders
