About the Team
The Biochemical Genetics team operates within a fast-paced, production-driven clinical laboratory environment. Interns will gain exposure to specimen processing, instrumentation, validation activities, and laboratory workflow while working alongside experienced technologists and supervisors.
Biological Science Internship Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of departmental projects
- Assist with validation plans and summary documentation
- Shadow instrument validation and qualification processes
- Support change control management activities
- Assist with troubleshooting laboratory issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment
- Complete record logs and administrative documentation
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and safety
Education and Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a CLIA-compliant related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under general supervision
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in a laboratory setting
- Interest in Biochemical Genetics strongly preferred.
