Role Overview
RoslinCT is seeking multiple Manufacturing Biotechnologists to support the commercial manufacture of an autologous, CRISPR-Cas9 gene-edited therapy within a GMP-regulated cleanroom environment.
You will be a key member of a shift team, performing hands-on manufacturing activities while ensuring strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
Key Responsibilities of a Biotechnologist
Manufacturing & Operations
- Perform hands-on GMP manufacturing of a commercially licensed cell and gene therapy product
- Operate within a highly controlled cleanroom environment
- Support shift operations, including evenings and weekends
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete manufacturing batch records, forms, and logbooks to a high GDP standard
- Follow all applicable SOPs, work instructions, and GMP regulations
- Assist with change controls, deviations, and risk assessments
Equipment & Facility Support
- Participate in qualification, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Support daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, stock control, and material ordering
Process & Documentation Development
- Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, work instructions, and forms
About You
Experience & Skills
- Educational background or hands-on experience in stem cells, cellular therapies, and cell banking
- Awareness and understanding of GMP cleanroom production environments
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to complete an initial structured training program
Qualifications
- BSc in Life Sciences or a related discipline
- Or equivalent relevant industry experience
