Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Health or Life Sciences (required)
- Master’s degree (MSc) is an asset
- 1–2 years clinical experience (required)
- 1–2 years hospital research experience (preferred)
Key Responsibilities of Clinical Research Analyst Role:
- Prepare research environments, including EMU and operating rooms, according to protocol
- Recruit study participants, obtain informed consent, and manage data collection tools
- Coordinate data flow internally and with external collaborators
- Plan, design, and manage study databases (Excel, REDCap)
- Collect and analyze study data to support clinical and research decision-making
- Prepare Research Ethics Board (REB) submissions and contract amendments
Skills Required for Clinical Research Analyst Role:
- Strong knowledge of neuroscience theory and principles
- Understanding of neurological conditions, diagnosis, and treatment options
- Experience managing complex datasets and trial databases (REDCap, Medidata)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and participant engagement
