Position Overview
Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Trials Monitor to join its team in Shelton, Connecticut. This is an on-site position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Clinical Research Job Responsibilities
- Develop external laboratory worksheets and assist in facilitating test code design.
- Participate in meetings to troubleshoot issues related to new and existing studies.
- Coordinate specimen workflow and follow up on any delays.
- Monitor turnaround time to ensure that established timeframes are met.
- Work with all levels of laboratory personnel and pathology staff to answer inquiries and help resolve problems.
- Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and associated forms.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Perform data and result entry and verification.
- Manage sample archiving and sample send-outs.
- Maintain a dashboard of all studies.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
Preferred Qualifications
Three months or more of experience in a laboratory or hospital setting.
Additional Job Standards
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
