Educational Requirements:
- B.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related science
- Understanding of quality testing and GMP is a plus
Key Responsibilities of Quality Bioanalyst Role:
- Conduct quality testing and document results for product release
- Perform general lab activities: pipetting, solution/sample/media prep, operating pH meters, autoclaves, and analytical balances
- Characterize filtration media (filter binding capacity, TOC, TN, charge capacity, microbial retention)
- Execute bioassays including ELISAs, qPCR/ddPCR
- Assist in developing new applications for existing filtration products
- Handle microbial and bacteriophage samples
- Support mammalian cell culture processes (maintenance, transfection, flasks, bioreactors)
- Maintain laboratory organization and supplies
Skills Required for Quality Bioanalyst Role:
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Analytical and deductive reasoning
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to handle multiple projects
- Knowledge of quality testing and GMP procedures preferred
