Food Science Job Role Summary
The Quality & Hygiene Associate Manager is responsible for supporting initiatives that ensure the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and quality across all store operations. The role focuses on implementing quality systems, monitoring compliance, and fostering a strong food safety culture throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the analysis of quality and food safety standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Implementing internal quality and hygiene procedures across stores
- Researching, tracking, and maintaining records of food safety developments and regulatory updates
- Promoting food safety and hygiene awareness to ensure a strong quality culture within stores
- Monitoring the storage of fresh food in line with established standards and procedures
- Ensuring food storage practices comply with health and safety requirements
- Delivering training programs for food handling and waste management staff
- Implementing corrective actions arising from internal and external audit findings
Requirements For Food Science Jobs
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or an equivalent discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality management within a regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of HACCP standards
- Professional certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, HACCP, or similar are preferred
