Educational Requirements for the Quality Technician Role:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Food Science, General Science, or a related field (preferred)
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:
- Understand and comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies
- Report all safety and environmental incidents
- Follow safe work practices at all times
- Follow all recipes, deviations, FDA regulations, Nestlé Quality, and GMP procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of product recipes
- Report any quality or recipe deviations
- Prepare and manage microbiological media used in testing
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and notify shortages
- Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials and finished products as needed in this Quality Technician Role.
- Conduct chemical testing on incoming goods and process tanks
- Manage p-test scheduling and results
- Input test data and results into SAP
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate lab equipment per SOPs
- In this Quality Technician Role, you have to operate and maintain autoclaves and sterility records
- Assist microbiologists and lab specialists when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills Required for the Quality Technician Role:
- Knowledge of food safety, FDA regulations, and GMP standards
- Experience in food manufacturing QA/QC or laboratory operations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Basic statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory computer systems
- SAP experience (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently
