Educational Requirements:
- Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related biological/analytical discipline
- Familiarity with GMP requirements is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities for Lab Technician Role:
- Conduct microbial culturing on agar plates and in liquid media
- Perform microbial identification testing using MALDI-TOF
- Review microbiological and environmental monitoring results
- Support calibration, verification, and certification activities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments
- Conduct routine and non-routine analysis for stability studies of pharmaceutical compounds
- Collect, handle, and prepare samples for analytical testing
- Participate in method validation and execution of analytical and biological tests
- Record, interpret, and report analytical results per QA/QC standards
- Maintain laboratory and workstation quality records
- Test drug infusion devices to ensure compliance with specifications
- Monitor and maintain consumable and reagent inventory
Skills Required for Lab Technician Role:
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and self-motivation
- Ability to prioritize workloads and meet strict deadlines
- Knowledge of microbial identification testing and culturing techniques
- Experience with HPLC (SEC, HIC, CIEX, RP) and sample preparation
- Desirable: Experience operating MALDI-TOF and prior similar lab technician roles
