Lab Technician Job Role Summary
The Lab Technician will perform biological and chemical analyses, support formulation development, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves evaluating processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting quality and product development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of formulations for a variety of applications.
- Perform all steps of routine experimentation, including sample preparation, equipment operation, instrument control, data processing, and analysis.
- Conduct product performance and field testing.
- Approve, hold, or reject products based on laboratory analysis against specifications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including adherence to GMP guidelines, validation protocols, raw data generation, and reporting.
- Reexamine borderline results, research technical literature, and communicate opportunities for process improvements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Recommend testing parameters and complete assigned experiments and project work.
- Provide analytical and technical support for product quality investigations.
- Review out-of-specification results and generate SPC charts of historical data.
- Optimize laboratory processes and recommend improvements aligned with 5S initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, or a related scientific discipline.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong scientific and laboratory analysis skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
