Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related scientific field preferred
Key Responsibilities for Laboratory Technician Role:
- Receive and sort incoming oligo synthesis orders
- Operate laboratory equipment: pipettes, liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, mass spectrometers, and centrifuges
- Follow SOPs and safety protocols accurately
- Handle chemical reagents and glassware safely
- Restock laboratory supplies and maintain clean work areas
- Prepare and package orders for shipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills Required for Laboratory Technician Role:
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience or interest in fast-paced laboratory environments
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Familiarity with pipettes, liquid handling systems, spectrophotometers, and mass spectrometry preferred
- Physical ability to lift 40 pounds, reach, bend, and stand for extended periods
