Educational Requirements for this Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing using established methods, including HPLC/UPLC, GC, powder characterization, titrations, color measurements, and sugar/enzyme analysis in this Laboratory Technician Job at Corbion.
- Analyze, interpret, and validate testing results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Document analytical methods, results, and reports using Corbion’s OneRequest system for sample tracking.
- Present findings to project teams and recommend next steps when required.
- Conduct routine microbiological analyses, including total plate count, yeast and mold, lactic acid bacteria (LAB), and indicator organisms.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques and standard operating procedures.
- As a Laboratory Technician, you should record and verify microbiological test results accurately.
- Work closely with a senior microbiologist for guidance and technical support.
- Support innovation and customer projects by delivering timely analytical results and data summaries.
- Participate in project meetings and occasionally present findings to customers.
- Collaborate with Applications, Sales, and Business Development teams to translate technical insights into practical solutions.
- Work with global teams, including colleagues in the Netherlands, to review analytical results and findings in this Laboratory Technician Job in Singapore.
- Maintain laboratory safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards.
- Manage assigned lab equipment, workspaces, and consumables.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to SOPs, workflows, and documentation.
- Participate in sustainability programs and required EHS and quality training as a Laboratory Technician.
Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience in analytical chemistry (1–5 years).
- Practical knowledge of analytical instruments such as HPLC/UPLC and GC.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory documentation.
- Knowledge of basic microbiology techniques.
- Strong teamwork and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to adapt priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
- Proficiency in the Mandarin language.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Singapore.
