About the Role
McCain is seeking a motivated Agricultural Intern for a four-month term beginning May 2026. Interns will work hands-on at field locations in the Florenceville area, gaining exposure to real-world agricultural operations, digital tools, and sustainability-focused farming practices.
You will work with grower relations, crop monitoring, raw product alignment, production cost analysis, research, agronomy, sustainability, and agricultural operations. Interns will also complete in-house McCain Agriculture training modules and gain exposure to manufacturing operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Digital & Data Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain digital agriculture solutions to improve efficiency
- Train users and provide ongoing support for digital tools
- Build and implement data platforms to gather, process, and analyze agricultural data
- Generate actionable insights to support business decisions
- Apply statistical evaluation to identify trends and best practices
- Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities to streamline processes
- Support AI adoption to enhance productivity and operational outcomes
- Develop dashboards and data visualizations
- Use Power BI for advanced analytics and decision-making
- Engage stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and successful project delivery
What You’ll Need for Agriculture Internship
- Junior/Senior pursuing a degree in Agriculture, or related field
- Knowledge of farming practices and vegetable production (preferred)
- Basic–intermediate skills in Word, Excel, data management, and presentations
- Preferred: Python, Power BI, and AI familiarity
- Strong communication skills (individual and group speaking, video conferencing)
- Ability to write reports and routine documentation
- Valid driver’s license; comfortable with driving/flying long distances
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Occasional physical effort and awkward positioning required
