Educational Requirements for the Science Editor Role:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, or a related field
- Equivalent education combined with relevant experience may be considered
Key Responsibilities of the Science Editor:
- Edit and review technical and marketing materials for grammar, clarity, consistency, and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, editorial style guides, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Validate scientific claims and product information for accuracy
- Provide clear, tactful editorial feedback to internal stakeholders
- Organize and manage review cycles for written materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update marketing collateral
- Participate in kickoff meetings, departmental meetings, and project discussions
- Manage multiple editing projects with varying deadlines independently
Skills Required for the Science Editor Role:
- Exceptional command of the English language
- Strong attention to detail and editorial precision
