Educational Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Life Science
- Background in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry
Key Responsibilities for Molecular Technologist role:
- Perform mini, midi, maxi, and giga plasmid preparations
- Transform, pick, and culture E. coli colonies
- Prepare glycerol stocks and plasmids for sequencing
- Quantify DNA using optical density methods
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues
- Maintain accurate records and status logs
- Prepare media, reagents, and laboratory supplies
- Execute protocols under ISO 13485 standards
- Clean, autoclave labware, and prepare products for shipping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals
Skills Required for Molecular Technologist role:
