Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, preferably Microbiology, or
- Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of laboratory technician experience.
Key Responsibilities for Microbiologist role:
- Cultivate, isolate, identify, and report bacterial and viral agents using DNA probes.
- Conduct serological testing for bacterial and viral agents and accurately report results.
- Perform quality control on analytical tests, lab equipment, reagents, and media.
- Ensure safety procedures, proficiency testing, and proper laboratory equipment maintenance.
