Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a closely related life science
Key Responsibilities for Lab Technician Role:
- Perform routine microbiological testing in compliance with GMP and ISO standards
- Conduct Microbial Limits (USP <61>/<62>), Sterility (USP <71>), and Endotoxin (USP <85>) testing
- Prepare, label, and verify microbiological culture media and reagents
- Apply basic microbiological techniques: plating, colony counting, Gram staining
- Support Environmental Monitoring (EM) in ISO-classified cleanrooms
- Document laboratory work following GMP, GLP, and data integrity guidelines
- Enter test results into LIMS and assist in data review
- Operate and maintain lab equipment, including incubators, autoclaves, and biosafety cabinets
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready lab workspace
Skills Required for Lab Technician Role:
- Working knowledge of microbiological techniques and aseptic practices
- Attention to detail and adherence to written procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated laboratory environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, electronic data systems)
- Preferred: experience in GMP, GLP, ISO labs, LIMS familiarity, pharmaceutical/medical device testing knowledge
