Educational Requirements for Dairy Supplier Quality Assurance Role:
- Bachelorโs degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Environmental Health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in dairy or food manufacturing QA.
- Strong understanding of FDA, USDA, PMO, and regulatory programs.
Key Responsibilities of the Dairy Supplier Quality Assurance:
- Coordinate onboarding of dairy and dairy product suppliers with procurement teams.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with Flora Food Group, SQF, and regulatory standards.
- Implement supplier quality controls and inspect incoming materials.
- Maintain supplier performance records and support monthly supplier reports.
- Raise and manage supplier nonconformance issues.
- Provide technical guidance to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
- Visit dairy farms to evaluate hygiene, animal health, and PMO compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company dairy regulations.
- Review farm documentation for PMO alignment.
- Monitor raw milk storage, handling, and transport processes.
