Educational Requirements for the QA Technician Role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Two-year degree or certificate in Food Science or a related field (preferred)
  • One or more years of experience in Quality Assurance or food processing (preferred)

Key Responsibilities of the QA Technician:

  • Perform physical, analytical, microbial, and sensory testing as per QA procedures
  • Conduct routine process checks across production, packaging, sanitation, and warehousing
  • Execute environmental monitoring using sterile techniques
  • Coordinate environmental testing activities with the sanitation department
  • Communicate test results and observations to QA management, Production, and Sanitation teams in this QA Technician Role.
  • Assist production line technicians and support QA stations setup and equipment calibration
  • Manage sample retain programs and prepare departmental and audit reports
  • Provide independent oversight to verify compliance with company standards and customer specifications
  • Assist in employee training on food safety, GMPs, and company processes
  • Maintain accurate QA documentation, records, and USDA pre-shipment records
  • Support sanitation audits, pre-operational inspections, and environmental monitoring programs in this QA Technician role.
  • Report quality, food safety, and regulatory deviations to management
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, EPA, and company requirements

Skills Required for the QA Technician Role:

  • Knowledge of food safety principles, GMPs, HACCP, and CCPs
  • Familiarity with modern food manufacturing processes
  • Ability to operate basic product testing and QA equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic math and data interpretation skills
  • Experience with data entry and database maintenance are the reuired skills for the QA Technician Role
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
