Educational Requirements for the Quality Control Technician Role:
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:
- Test and release finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Support cross-functional teams, including production, warehouse, technical, sales, customer care, and planning
- Set up sensory samples and participate in daily sensory panel tasting
- Ensure manufacturing processes maintain relevant quality controls and practices
- Assist in implementing best practices across quality operations in the Quality Control Jobs at Givaudan
- Conduct calibration checks as required
- Raise quality non-conformances for out-of-specification raw materials and finished goods
- Analyse incoming raw materials and finished goods samples in a timely manner
- Reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within production
- Conduct allergen and environmental swabs to maintain a safe workplace
- Ensure timely testing and release of products to meet customer needs
Skills Required for the Quality Control Technician Role:
- Knowledge of Quality Control in food manufacturing
- HACCP and GMP understanding
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
- Tech-savvy with basic SAP knowledge preferred
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team
- Proactive, action-oriented, and customer-focused mindset
