Educational Requirements for the QA Scientist Role:

Bachelor’s degree in Biology or another Life Sciences discipline
Key Responsibilities of the QA Scientist:
- Perform microbiological quality control testing of finished products, raw materials, and sera
- Conduct testing according to approved procedures and compendia (USP, EP, ACS)
- Perform environmental monitoring, bioburden analysis, endotoxin testing, and microbial limits testing
- Carry out microbial identification and growth promotion testing of microbiological media and reagents
- Evaluate test results against approved specifications and release QC data on time
- Perform peer review of analytical data
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with GDP and quality guidelines
- Communicate operational status and report deviations to supervisors
- Support laboratory operations including equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and waste disposal
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness, safety compliance, and resolution of unsafe conditions
Skills Required for the QA Scientist Role:
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Knowledge of quality control and site quality standards
- Familiarity with microbiology laboratory instruments and production equipment
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures with minimal supervision
