Educational Requirements for the R&D Internship:
- Currently studying for a degree in Biotechnology, Physical Life Sciences, or a related STEM discipline
- Suitable for Year in Industry / Industrial Placement students
- Must be eligible to work in the UK without current or future sponsorship
- CV must include first-year grades broken down by module
Key Responsibilities of the Scientist Role:
- At Abbott Careers, you have to support ongoing and upcoming R&D projects within Abbott Diabetes Care
- Participate in prototype fabrication, experimental trials, investigations, and testing
- Perform data analysis, result interpretation, and problem solving
- In this Internship, you have to assist with report writing and presentation of experimental results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Statistics, Manufacturing, QA, and Regulatory Affairs
- Follow all Health & Safety and company training protocols
- Contribute to projects from concept through execution and reporting
Skills Required for the R&D Internship:
- Strong interest in diabetes, biosensors, electrochemistry, and/or materials science
- Good written and verbal communication skills
