Job Details:
The Research Fellow will conduct independent and collaborative research under the Principal Investigator at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. This full-time onsite role in Boston, MA involves designing experiments, analyzing data, mentoring students, preparing publications, and supporting grant submissions. The position is focused on developing innovative approaches in drug discovery, integrating wet-lab biology with computational insights.

Educational Requirements for Research Fellow Role:
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Cancer Biology, or a related discipline
- Strong publication record in drug discovery, small-molecule therapeutics, or translational oncology
- 3–5 years of prior research experience preferred
- Experience cannot substitute for a doctoral degree
Key Responsibilities for Research Fellow Role:
- Design, plan, and execute research experiments aligned with project goals
- Perform biophysical & biochemical assays, protein purification, SPR, ITC, FRET, and pull-downs
- Conduct molecular biology work including cloning, mutagenesis, and protein expression
- Carry out cell-based assays such as qPCR, reporter assays, and signaling pathway analysis
- Support hit validation and small-molecule lead optimization
- Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data
- Perform literature reviews and contribute to manuscripts and conference presentations
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers
- Assist with grant proposals and progress reports
- Collaborate with medicinal chemistry and computational teams
Skills Required for Research Fellow Role:
- Strong expertise in molecular biology & biochemistry research techniques
- Hands-on experience with protein purification, interaction assays, and cell-based studies
- Proficiency in analytical tools and statistical software
- Excellent written and verbal communication
