Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry or a related field with experience in protein purification or chromatography.
Key Responsibilities of Research Associate Role:
- Purify proteins and enzymes for restocking and modify protocols as needed.
- Perform chromatography and SDS-PAGE analysis.
- Revise protocols after process modifications.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain lab equipment such as concentrators, pH meters, and columns.
- Keep the lab organized and clean.
- Filter and aliquot products for bulk storage.
- Prepare common buffers and reagents.
- Improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate project scheduling with supervisors and managers.
- Ensure compliance with quality documentation and training.
- Adhere to safety protocols as per AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene, and Exposure Control manuals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
