Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related discipline
Key Responsibilities of the Research Associate Role:
- Execute microbial formulation experiments involving bacteria, fungi, and yeast
- Analyze experimental data and prepare concise summaries for stakeholders
- Operate microbiological, automation, and analytical laboratory equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic lab notebooks (ELNs)
- Follow SOPs and biosafety procedures
- Support equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Use digital tools and statistical software for data analysis
- Identify workflow improvements and collaborate on implementation
Skills Required:
- Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques and biosafety cabinets
- Understanding of assay execution and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with microbiological and analytical lab equipment
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and digital lab tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
