Educational Requirements:
- PhD in Bacteriology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline
- Practical laboratory experience in bacterial infectious disease research, preferably with Campylobacter spp.
Key Responsibilities for Research Associate Role:
- Conduct genomic and functional genomic studies to identify survival mechanisms of Campylobacter jejuni
- Use transposon mutant libraries for TraDIS and RNAseq analyses
- Generate defined deletion and complemented mutants
- Investigate bacterial survival under food-chain stresses, biocides, and antibacterial agents
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to bioinformatics analysis
Skills Required for Research Associate Role:
