Educational Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in biomedical science or related discipline
- Experience handling human blood, tissue samples, and molecular biology techniques
Key Responsibilities of the Research Technician Role:
- Extract high molecular weight DNA and RNA using advanced fat reduction protocols
- Conduct Sanger sequencing and other genetic analyses
- Maintain and analyze various cell lines and cell-based models
- Collaborate with academics and clinicians on research publications and presentations
- Contribute to international genomics studies in neuromuscular disease
