About the Scientific Communication Job Role
The Scientific Communication Advisor at Firecrest (part of ICON plc) will support the development of scientific and medical educational content for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Clinical Trial Participants. The role focuses on transforming complex scientific information into clear, engaging learning materials related to clinical trials, disease mechanisms, and drug mechanisms of action.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Content Development

Review scientific sources including:

Clinical trial protocols
-
External scientific literature
-

Develop scientifically accurate scripts and visuals aligned with client needs.
Educational Material Creation

Create mechanism of action (MoA) animations
-
Produce eligibility criteria case studies for healthcare professionals.

Write clear informational materials for potential clinical trial participants.
Storyboarding & Training Products

Create storyboards and educational content on:

Disease pathophysiology

Drug mechanisms of action

Support development of training and educational products.
Collaboration

Work closely with graphic designers to create engaging visual materials.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree + 1–2 years industry experience, OR
