  • Salary: $60,000 – $62,000 per year

  • Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, and holidays; available 24/7/365 in case of emergency

  • Security Clearance: Must obtain/maintain DHS Suitability clearance

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, molecular biology, or related biological sciences.
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory bench experience outside academia, using PCR, aseptic techniques, and biological assays.
  • Biological Safety Level (BSL)-3 experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities of Associate Scientist Role:

  • Process and analyze QA/PT samples using molecular and microbiology techniques.
  • Maintain GLP standards and chain-of-custody for all samples.
  • Conduct contamination monitoring and QA/QC tasks.
  • Document results, maintain lab records, and prepare technical reports.
  • Support laboratory inventory management and program logistics.

Skills Required for Associate Scientist Role:

  • Expertise in PCR, DNA extraction, and microbiological techniques.
  • Knowledge of GLP standards, QA/QC procedures, and lab safety protocols.
  • Strong data entry, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, meet deadlines, and work on weekends/holidays.
