About the Role
McCain is seeking a motivated Agricultural Intern – Digital to join its North America Agriculture team for a four-month internship beginning in May 2026. Based in Florenceville, New Brunswick, the intern will gain hands-on experience across field locations while contributing to real-world agricultural and digital transformation projects.
During the internship, the individual will be exposed to grower relations, crop monitoring and intelligence, raw product alignment, cost of production, research and applied science, agronomy, sustainability initiatives, and the general operations of a commercial agriculture department. The intern will also gain insight into McCain manufacturing operations and complete in-house training modules as part of the broader McCain Agriculture training program.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance process efficiency through the deployment and maintenance of digital solutions
- Provide training and ongoing support to ensure effective utilization of digital tools
- Build and implement digital platforms to gather, process, and analyze agricultural data
- Generate actionable insights to support business decision-making at various organizational levels
- Conduct statistical evaluations to identify best practices and data trends
- Identify opportunities to streamline agricultural processes using artificial intelligence
- Support adoption and optimization of AI technologies to improve productivity and operational outcomes
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate key metrics and trends
- Utilize Power BI for advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on digital and analytics initiatives
- Facilitate communication and feedback loops to support successful project outcomes
Qualifications for Agriculture Internship
- College Junior or Senior majoring in Agriculture, or a closely related discipline
- Knowledge of farm practices and vegetable production is desirable but not required
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data management, and presentations
- Preferred proficiency in Python, Power BI, and artificial intelligence tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to individuals and groups
- Ability to write routine correspondence and reports for diverse audiences
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel long distances by car or plane
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to perform occasional physical tasks and work in awkward positions

Compensation
- Hourly Wage (Salary Equivalent): CAD $23.00 – $26.00
