Educational Requirements:

  • Must be a current student enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing at least a bachelor’s degree
  • In-progress doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline preferred
  • Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive an introduction to mass spectrometry and bioanalysis in this Biochemistry Internship in the USA.
  • Participate in routine laboratory work, including method development, sample extraction, and mass spectrometer operation
  • Conduct data acquisition and analysis
  • In this Summer Internship at Novo Nordisk Careers, you should identify and undertake a bioanalytical project within the first two weeks
  • Present final project results to the bioanalytical team
  • Learn how to quantify a drug and its metabolites in a biological matrix using mass spectrometry
  • Understand how pharmacokinetic (PK) data is used in the drug development process
  • Attend weekly meetings with the daily supervisor
