Biochemistry Job Role Overview

The Analytical Biochemist will support protein purification and analytical characterization activities within a regulated laboratory environment. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, data documentation, and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Laboratory Operations

    • Execute automated protein purification using chromatographic techniques, TFF, and AKTA systems.
    • Characterize protein solutions using Agilent HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
    • Perform routine analytical measurements, including pH, UV-Vis, and HPLC.
    • Prepare buffers and solutions; maintain lab inventories and equipment.
    • Clean and maintain AKTA systems, including CIP procedures.
  • Data & Documentation

    • Document assay data accurately and contribute to study reports.
    • Maintain detailed records using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
    • Participate in investigations and ensure compliance with GLP and company policies.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of industry experience preferred.

Work Schedule & Conditions

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Overtime may be required.
