Educational Requirements for this Job:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field related to the laboratory, such as Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a GMP environment (QC Lab, QA, or Technical Services)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely analytical testing following GMP and safety guidelines in this Biology Job at Lilly Careers
- Review and interpret laboratory data for compliance with procedures and standards
- Conduct second-person verification (SPV) of analytical data
- Participate in laboratory investigations and root cause analysis
- Recognize and report deviations from procedures in this Biology Job in the USA
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and methods
- Support quality system improvements and documentation updates
- Perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance
- Share technical best practices across plant sites
- Train and mentor team members
- As a Biologist, you must ensure compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of GMP laboratory operations
- Experience with Container Closure Integrity (CCI) and particulate testing (preferred)
- Familiarity with Darwin LIMS and SmartLab (preferred)
- Strong math and documentation skills
- Analytical thinking and investigative problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable working in a lab environment with PPE and allergen exposure considerations
