Educational Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, or related disciplines
Key Responsibilities:
- In this Life Science Internship at GenScript Careers, you should synthesize targeted genes according to departmental rules and customer requirements
- Perform experimental procedures, including PCR, ligation, transformation, bacterial inspection, plasmid construction, and quality inspection
- Conduct gene synthesis, vector construction, gene mutation, plasmid extraction, and sequence analysis
- As a Biotechnologist, you should perform sequencing, PCR, qPCR, reagent preparation, and quality inspections in this Life Science Internship
- Record experimental data, perform analysis, and evaluate results accurately
- As a Biotechnologist Intern, you should ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and SOPs for production and laboratory operations
- Identify, report, and actively resolve issues arising during the production process
- Ensure proper daily experiment handover and conduct preliminary analysis of unfinished experiments
- Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisors in the Life Science Internship
Skills Required:
- Strong foundation in molecular biology and cell biology
- Hands-on experience with genetic engineering techniques such as Primer and plasmid design, PCR and restriction digestion, Homologous recombination, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, Transformation and plasmid isolation, Sequence analysis
- Ability to work independently in a laboratory setting
