Educational Requirements for this Internship:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel weekly to Iola or Abilene, Kansas, manufacturing plants
  • Knowledge of food science and manufacturing
  • Experience with databases and data management systems
  • Familiarity with various software platforms

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support oversight of document management processes to ensure accuracy and compliance in this Food Science Internship in the USA
  • Assist in developing and implementing food safety and quality programs, policies, and procedures
  • Perform data analysis and reporting on food safety and quality metrics
  • Participate in Food Safety Plan reviews and Food Safety Culture initiatives
  • Visit Iola and Abilene, Kansas, manufacturing plants at least two days per week as required
