Educational Requirements for the R&D Intern Role:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
Key Responsibilities:
- In this Food Science Internship, you have to conduct nutritional and compositional analysis of selected raw materials
- Study extraction behaviors under varying process conditions (temperature, pressure, pH, flow)
- Characterize health-beneficial compounds, including stability and release profiles
- Support the development of functional ingredient formats compatible with DeepBrew smart extraction systems in this Food Science Internship
- Contribute to scientific validation and optimisation of functional ingredient solutions
- Perform data analysis, interpretation, and documentation to support scientific evidence
- Collaborate with experts in nutrition, chemistry, flavour science, and process engineering
Skills Required for the Food Science Internship:
- Understanding of nutritional compounds and their role in human health
- Knowledge of food matrices such as coffee, cocoa, malt, oats, or tea
- Familiarity with functional ingredients and nutrient profiles
- Basic experience with analytical techniques (HPLC, spectrophotometry, chromatography, titration) is required for the R&D Intern Role.
- Ability to use data analysis tools (Excel, Python, or similar)
- Strong analytical thinking and scientific curiosity
- Ability to translate complex scientific data into clear insights
- Comfortable working in innovative, ambiguous environments
- Fluent in English
