Educational Requirements for the R&D Scientist Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Nutrition, or other science-related disciplines
- A master’s degree is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- As an R&D Scientist, you should lead innovation product development from ideation to post-launch and handover
- Design, execute, and evaluate experiments, trials, and product development studies
- Support formulation and process development for raw materials and finished products in the Food Science Jobs at Reckitt.
- Maintain innovation and product development databases for internal and external tracking
- Prepare technical documentation throughout development and product handover phases
- Monitor budgets and expenses for assigned projects in the Food Science Jobs.
- Apply food science, nutrition, and ingredient functionality principles for optimal product design
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, GMP, FDA, and local requirements
- Support manufacturing scale-up and understand processing impacts on product functionality
- In the R&D Scientist position, you should execute intellectual property elements related to formulations
- Communicate technical insights effectively to cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal R&D teams, suppliers, and global partners
- Participate in cross-functional improvement and innovation programs
- Ensure employee safety and environmental compliance across all Food Science Jobs activities.
Skills Required:
- Strong foundation in food science, nutrition, formulation, and ingredient functionality
- Working knowledge of dairy science, nutrient fortification, and food regulations
- Understanding of Asia regulatory environment (preferred)
- Experience in process development, scale-up, or technology-driven projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Data-driven decision-making and structured technical presentation skills
- Experience working in multinational environments
- Effective communication with internal teams and external partners
