Research Associate Job Overview

Join a multi-centre clinical research study investigating disease progression in motor neurone disease (MND). This role focuses on high-density surface EMG data collection and advanced analysis in patients receiving tofersen (SOD1 mutation).

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day clinical research activities in line with study protocol and GCP
  • Perform advanced high-density surface EMG recordings
  • Analyse neurophysiological data using advanced methods
  • Coordinate with Sheffield and King’s College London research teams
  • Contribute to reports, publications, and presentations

Essential Criteria for Research Associate

  • PhD in Neuroscience or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to communicate complex information to non-experts
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Experience

  • Human neurophysiology
  • Clinical research and Good Clinical Practice
  • Statistical methods and scientific writing
  • Data analysis and IT skills (e.g., statistical software, MS Office)
