Educational Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. in Biology or a closely related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Key Responsibilities of Associate Scientist Role::
- Drive new gene therapy programs as part of a collaborative team
- Perform HSC cell culture experiments and establish in vitro and in vivo assays
- Develop endpoint assays for HSC therapies, including flow cytometry
- Deliver timely data to project teams across disease areas
- Maintain detailed documentation of scientific work in electronic notebooks
Skills Required for Associate Scientist Role:
- Mastery of aseptic HSC cell culture and gene therapy experiments (AAV or LNP)
- Experience isolating cells, nucleic acids, and proteins from tissues
- Phenotyping immune cells (HSCs, T cells, B cells)
- Molecular endpoints: PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, Simple Western Jess, ELISA, MSD
- Familiarity with LNP screening and automated workflows
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to plan and implement experiments independently
