Role Overview
The Microbiology Analyst 2 supports pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by ensuring compliance with required aseptic and pharmaceutical standards. The role contributes to environmental monitoring, utility sampling, media fill execution, and laboratory support activities while maintaining audit readiness and adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance of manufacturing areas with pharmaceutical and aseptic standards
- Collect samples from critical utilities, including nitrogen, process air, and site water systems
- Perform media fills, including qualification and release, in support of the environmental monitoring program
- Maintain laboratory and monitoring equipment in accordance with site requirements
- Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
- Perform routine laboratory tasks and maintain a clean, audit-ready work environment
- Escalate issues to supervision as required
- Provide backup support for QC in-process testing, including weekend coverage
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in biology or sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or another science or medical discipline
Compensation
- Pay Range: $24 – $38 per hour
Compensation is based on location, experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. The position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses.
