Job Description
Biotechnologist position involves joining the Production team in Nottingham as a Process Biotechnologist. This full-time role requires candidates with production or manufacturing experience and knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques. The position focuses on producing biopharmaceutical products while adhering to GMP guidelines and SOPs using state-of-the-art equipment. The team consists of 6 professionals, offering a collaborative environment for those interested in Sartorius careers and biotech jobs in England. The role includes a 12.5-hour shift pattern covering a 24-hour production schedule, including day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Biotechnologist responsibilities include operating manufacturing equipment to carry out cGMP production of biopharmaceuticals.
- Production processing including Fermentation, Cell Separation, Chromatography, Final Ultrafiltration, and In-process Sampling and Analysis
- Preparation and operation of all equipment following SOP’s and PCD’s
- Calibration of instruments and plant maintenance tasks during processing or shutdown periods
- Completing all documentation required to GDP standards
- Assisting in closure of operations-related IOD’s, CR’s, and CAPA
- Filter control and integrity testing
- Use of the production autoclave
- Manual handling tasks including lifting materials such as 25kg bags
