Biotechnologist Job Summary
- Participate in biochemical manufacturing processes under cGMP standards
- Operate and monitor biochemical processing equipment and maintain clean production areas
- Conduct raw material sampling, dispensing, and environmental monitoring
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; support process improvement efforts
- Document work per approved manufacturing procedures
- Collaborate with shift personnel and external support teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and Biotech Jobs standards
Educational Requirements:
- Fresh graduates with a degree in Life Sciences
- Biologics experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities of the Biotechnologist Role:
- Prepare and clean equipment, sterilize vessels, and prepare solutions
- Operate biochemical processing equipment and computers for process control
- Conduct raw material sampling, dispensing, and environmental monitoring
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards
- Troubleshoot equipment and process problems
- Document work as per manufacturing formulae
- Participate in shift meetings and collaborate with other teams
- Ensure all tasks meet safety requirements and report incidents promptly
Skills Required:
- Problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Self-starter with focus on safety, quality, and results
- Ability to carry loads up to 25kg
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with computer systems
- Background in microbiology, fermentation, or protein purification is desirable
