Biochemistry Job Role Overview
The Analytical Biochemist will support protein purification and analytical characterization activities within a regulated laboratory environment. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, data documentation, and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Operations
- Execute automated protein purification using chromatographic techniques, TFF, and AKTA systems.
- Characterize protein solutions using Agilent HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
- Perform routine analytical measurements, including pH, UV-Vis, and HPLC.
- Prepare buffers and solutions; maintain lab inventories and equipment.
- Clean and maintain AKTA systems, including CIP procedures.

Data & Documentation
- Document assay data accurately and contribute to study reports.
- Maintain detailed records using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
- Participate in investigations and ensure compliance with GLP and company policies.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of industry experience preferred.

Work Schedule & Conditions
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Overtime may be required.
- Tasks involve repetitive motion and prolonged standing.
- May be required to respond to off-shift operational issues.
- Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Indianapolis, IN.
