Position Overview
LKCMedicine is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow to join the Centre for Geroscience and Geromedicine, focusing on translational immunology and aging research in bats.
The successful candidate will work in a research group led by Nanyang Assistant Professor Ahn Matae, a pioneer in bat immunology. The research aims to understand bats’ exceptional healthy longevity to develop bat-inspired targets and strategies to combat human diseases and ageing. The projects involve multiple national and international collaborations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform and support all aspects of assigned research projects

Accurately monitor, document, and report experimental results and research findings

Assist with programming, data analysis, and literature reviews across research projects

Evaluate and interpret data; prepare oral presentations, written reports, scientific manuscripts, and literature for publication

Contribute to project management, research presentations, and publications

Supervise students and conduct occasional laboratory demonstrations, where applicable

Perform other related duties as required
Key Competencies and Requirements

PhD in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in:

Animal work

Cell culture
-
Molecular studies and/or bioinformatic analysis

Prior experience in immunology or aging research is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with a strong academic and research track record

Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in supporting diverse research activities

Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Proficiency in computer applications relevant to research

Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
